✨ 2/5 — The Rising of the Shield Hero: A Frustrating Journey — 25 Episodes of High Blood Pressure

I usually write reviews for only two reasons. First, when an anime is so good that I genuinely want to share it with everyone—the kind of story that makes you say, “You have to watch this.”

Second, when it’s so disappointing that I feel the need to warn people not to waste their time.

Unfortunately, The Rising of the Shield Hero falls closer to the second category for me.

I started this anime right after finishing a really good one, so my expectations were pretty high. Considering how popular it is, I honestly thought I was about to watch something amazing. Instead, most of the season left me feeling more stressed and irritated than entertained.

Episode after episode, I kept getting frustrated. Many of the characters were so annoying that I genuinely felt like slapping half the cast. Even the main character, Naofumi Iwatani, didn’t fully work for me. I understand why he becomes bitter after what happens to him, but the constant negativity and the way the conflicts were handled started to feel exhausting.

And then there’s Malty S. Melromarc. Honestly, she might be one of the most infuriating characters I’ve seen in a while. Every time she appeared, my blood pressure probably went up a little more. ๐Ÿ˜ค

For most of the season, I wasn’t enjoying myself much at all. I kept watching mainly out of curiosity and the hope that the story would eventually improve.

To be fair, the last few episodes were actually enjoyable. That part finally gave a bit of the payoff I had been waiting for. For a moment, it felt like the story was finally moving in a better direction. Unfortunately, it took almost the entire season to get there.

Because of those final episodes, I can’t say the experience was completely terrible. There were glimpses of potential. Still, overall, the journey felt far more frustrating than fun.

In the end, I’m giving it 2/5. The payoff simply wasn’t worth the long and irritating road to get there. And honestly, I don’t think I’ll be continuing the other seasons. ๐Ÿคท‍♂️

Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! ✨✨✨

I went into this anime with pretty low expectations, and honestly, that might be the best way to watch it. It’s a very straightforward fantasy series that doesn’t try too hard to be complicated or overly dramatic. The pacing is smooth and the episodes are easy to get through. Before I even realized it, I had already watched most of it in one sitting.

What I liked about it is how simple and easy it is to follow. The story doesn’t get buried under too many twists or unnecessary plot points. It sticks to its premise and just lets the journey unfold. Because of that, it feels like a very relaxed watch—perfect for when you just want something light and entertaining without thinking too much.

That said, it’s definitely not the kind of anime that will blow you away. The characters and story are decent, but nothing particularly stands out as memorable. It’s enjoyable while you’re watching it, but once it’s over, it doesn’t really leave a strong impact. I’d say it sits comfortably in the “mid but fun” category.

Overall, it’s a good pick if you’re looking for something quick and easy to finish. If you want an anime that works as a simple time-killer, this one does the job well. Just don’t go in expecting something amazing, and you’ll probably enjoy it for what it is. Hehe ๐Ÿ™‚

Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc (Anime Adaptation) Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

๐Ÿ”ฅ The Reze Arc is a visual feast—animation that flows like water, fight scenes that hit with explosive energy, and a soundtrack ๐ŸŽถ that syncs perfectly with the chaos. Every clash feels cinematic, and the way the music amplifies the tension makes it unforgettable. It’s the kind of anime moment that reminds you why this series is such a standout.

๐Ÿ’” What makes it refreshing is Denji’s simplicity. He’s not complicated—he just wants affection, and seeing someone show interest in him feels surprisingly human amidst all the madness. That balance between raw emotion and high-octane battles ⚔️ gives the arc its unique rhythm, making it both thrilling and tender at the same time.

✨ Still, the wider cast steals attention too. Aki’s quiet strength, Makima’s mysterious aura, and Angel Devil’s intriguing presence add layers that keep fans hooked. The arc leaves you entertained, a little melancholic, but deeply satisfied—proof that Chainsaw Man isn’t just about devils and fights, but about the fragile beauty of human connection.

Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon: My Gift LVL 9999 Unlimited Gacha – 5/5 ⭐

I honestly didn’t expect to finish this in one sitting, but I completely lost track of time. From the very first episode, it pulls you in with strong momentum and never really slows down. Every episode leaves you wanting to click “next,” and before you know it, the season is over. It’s one of those anime that’s dangerously binge-worthy ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ”ฅ

What I loved most is the main character’s presence. He gives off that powerful, commanding vibe similar to other overpowered protagonists in the genre—but the story doesn’t feel lazy about it. There’s growth, intention, and clear development behind the strength. It doesn’t feel like power just for the sake of power. That balance makes everything more satisfying to watch.

The supporting cast is surprisingly engaging too. The characters aren’t just there to fill space—they each add something meaningful to the overall experience. The dynamics, the tension, and the confrontations are handled in a way that keeps things intense without dragging. It leans into darker fantasy elements, but it stays entertaining and gripping throughout ⚔️✨

By the end, I was genuinely excited for more. It’s frustrating (in a good way) that there’s no confirmed Season 2 yet because the story clearly has so much room to expand. I’ll definitely be checking out the light novel and manga while waiting. If you enjoy dark fantasy with strong character presence and satisfying progression, this one is absolutely worth the watch.

Death Whisperer (2023) ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)

This is a pretty standard possession horror film, and you can feel the familiar formula throughout. If you’ve watched a lot of movies in this genre, you’ll likely predict where some scenes are headed. It doesn’t really reinvent anything, and the structure feels safe.

That said, it still had effective moments. A few jump scares genuinely caught me off guard, and some scenes built tension well. There were also disturbing and slightly gross parts that added to the intensity ๐Ÿ‘€. It’s not groundbreaking, but it delivers decent scares.

I’m curious about the sequel since the curse clearly isn’t over. I want to see what happens next, especially with the older brother’s role moving forward. Overall, it’s mid — but still enjoyable enough.
