Death Whisperer (2023) ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)

This is a pretty standard possession horror film, and you can feel the familiar formula throughout. If you’ve watched a lot of movies in this genre, you’ll likely predict where some scenes are headed. It doesn’t really reinvent anything, and the structure feels safe.

That said, it still had effective moments. A few jump scares genuinely caught me off guard, and some scenes built tension well. There were also disturbing and slightly gross parts that added to the intensity ๐Ÿ‘€. It’s not groundbreaking, but it delivers decent scares.

I’m curious about the sequel since the curse clearly isn’t over. I want to see what happens next, especially with the older brother’s role moving forward. Overall, it’s mid — but still enjoyable enough.

Genre: Horror / Supernatural ๐Ÿ‘ป
Date Watched: February 2026

Synopsis:
A rural family’s life is turned upside down when one of the daughters becomes mysteriously ill after a strange encounter. As her behavior grows increasingly violent and unnatural, the family realizes they may be dealing with something far more sinister than a simple sickness — and the curse slowly begins to consume them all.
