`● Finally finished this one, and honestly, this was not a pleasant reading experience for me. I know this book has a lot of fans, and I can understand why some readers might enjoy the creepy atmosphere and mystery, but unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me. ๐ซ
`● I found myself bored for most of the book and constantly waiting for the story to really pick up.
`● The story felt repetitive at times, and it took way too long for me to feel like I was getting somewhere. ๐ I kept waiting for that satisfying “okay, NOW we’re getting somewhere” moment, but by the time things started moving, I was already too tired to care.
`● I also didn’t particularly connect with most of the characters, which made it even harder to stay invested.
`● I also had issues with some of the plot holes and questionable events throughout the story. There were quite a few things that I felt needed more explanation, and some questions were simply left hanging.
`● Maybe I missed something, but there were moments when I just thought, “Wait… what?” ๐ญ The lack of a satisfying payoff in certain parts also added to my frustration.
`● I basically forced myself to finish this just so I could finally check it off my list. Maybe this is one of those books that simply wasn’t meant for me, because I know plenty of readers enjoyed it.
`● Unfortunately, I think this will be my last book from this author. Sorry, not sorry. ๐
