📺 I decided to rewatch a recap of Season 1 before starting Season 2, and it was absolutely worth it. There were so many details I had forgotten, and having everything fresh in my mind made me appreciate the second season even more. This is honestly one of those rare anime that became better in its second season.

✨ What impressed me the most was how much the story expanded without becoming confusing. The world-building grew bigger, the mysteries became deeper, and the characters were given the attention they deserved. You could clearly see everyone's character development, especially Will's. I also love that Will remains the true focus of the story. He's determined, hardworking, and never comes across as an annoying or clueless protagonist. Every episode kept me hooked, with no dull moments, and each ending left me wanting more.

⚡ My favorite characters this season were Sion and Zeo—they're both incredibly cool and have such a badass presence. I'm also really curious about Rosty, Finn, Vice Headmaster Cauldron, and Aaron. They all seem to be hiding something, and the deeper the story goes, the more mysterious their characters become. That's one of the things I love most about this series—every answer leads to even more questions.

😂 The finale was both hilarious and an absolute cliffhanger. The stakes are much higher now, and I'm already excited for Season 3. I don't want to read the manga since it's still ongoing—I learned my lesson after catching up with Frieren, and waiting for monthly chapters was pure torture. Although... I might still end up sneaking a peek. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed this season and would definitely recommend it. Here's hoping the anime continues to do the manga justice because the hype is definitely real! ♡

🌿 Kusunoki's Garden of Gods — A Relaxing Slice of Supernatural Life

Kusunoki's Garden of Gods turned out to be such a wholesome and comforting watch. It's one of those anime that doesn't rely on intense action scenes or heavy drama to keep you entertained. Instead, it focuses on warmth, peaceful moments, and the charming interactions between Minato and the various gods and spirits that slowly become part of his daily life. The entire series carries a relaxing atmosphere that makes it perfect for unwinding after a long day.

One thing I immediately noticed was how quickly everything moved. The anime is surprisingly short, and the story progresses at a fast pace, which left me wishing there were more episodes to spend with the characters and explore the world further. Despite its simple premise, the series creates such a cozy environment that you can't help but want to stay in the Kusunoki residence a little longer.

I also finished the series with quite a few questions still lingering in my mind. There were several characters, lore details, and story elements that felt like they deserved more explanation or development. Hehe. The world of gods and spirits was interesting enough to make me curious, but sometimes it felt like the anime only scratched the surface before moving on to the next wholesome moment.

The animation isn't particularly impressive and definitely isn't the show's strongest point. Compared to many recent fantasy anime, the visuals can feel fairly average at times. Still, that didn't stop me from enjoying the experience. The lovable characters, soothing atmosphere, and endless good vibes more than made up for its shortcomings. Overall, I'd recommend it to fans of cozy supernatural slice-of-life series and anyone looking for a relaxing, feel-good watch. Just don't go in expecting stunning animation or a deeply explored story, and you'll probably have a great time with it. 🌿✨

🖤 Obsessions Make Monsters 👁️

🎬 Obsession (2025) — ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)

I kept seeing Obsession recommended everywhere, so I went into it with pretty high expectations. Unfortunately, it just didn't hit for me the way I thought it would. I can understand why some viewers enjoyed it, but personally, it ended up being a pretty average watch.

One of my biggest issues was the characters. Some of their decisions had me questioning what they were thinking more than once. 😂 There were moments where I found myself frustrated rather than invested, which made it harder for me to fully connect with the story.

That said, I know the film wasn't really trying to focus on realistic choices or deep character logic. Its main focus was clearly obsession, control, and the consequences of trying to force love instead of letting it happen naturally. At its core, it felt like a dark and twisted version of the classic "be careful what you wish for" story.

The movie definitely deserves credit for its shock factor. Some scenes were surprisingly brutal, and there were a few moments that genuinely caught me off guard. The unsettling atmosphere worked well, and I can see why horror fans who enjoy psychological and supernatural themes would appreciate what it was trying to do.

The standout for me was definitely Inde Navarrette's performance as Nikki. She gave the strongest performance in the film and carried many of the emotional moments. By the end, I honestly just felt bad for her after everything her character went through. 😭

Would I recommend it?

Maybe. If you're into psychological horror, disturbing themes, and stories that explore obsession and the darker side of love, you might enjoy this more than I did. For me, though, a 3-star rating feels about right: not bad, not great, but interesting enough to watch once and decide for yourself.

🧊 The Ramparts of Ice (Koori no Jouheki)

🤍 I ended up enjoying The Ramparts of Ice quite a bit, mainly because of how wholesome and genuine it felt. The character development was handled well, and watching the cast slowly grow closer to one another was easily one of the strongest parts of the series. There was a warmth to their interactions that made it easy to keep watching.

😮‍💨 That said, the story does touch on bullying and some uncomfortable social situations. Personally, I tend to avoid stories that revolve around those kinds of themes since they can be more stressful than enjoyable for me. Thankfully, it never completely overshadowed the heart of the series, but it was still something that affected my overall experience.

🏀 One character who really stood out to me was Yota. He felt grounded, mature, and refreshingly realistic. What I appreciated most was that he wasn't written as a flawless or idealized character. He had his own struggles and insecurities that felt believable for someone his age, which made him feel much more human and relatable.

✨ My biggest issue was the ending, which left me wanting more. I'm not sure if a second season is planned, but it definitely feels like there's still more story left to tell. Despite feeling a little incomplete, I'd still gladly return for another season if one ever gets announced.

Witch Hat Atelier

Great World-Building, Frustrating Payoff

I really wanted to love Witch Hat Atelier. ✨ The world-building is easily one of its strongest points. The magic system feels fresh, unique, and incredibly creative, making every new discovery exciting. The fantasy world is rich with detail, and it constantly gives the impression that there is so much more waiting to be explored.

The characters were enjoyable, and Brushbuddy completely won me over. 😂 In fact, I found myself looking forward to every scene involving that adorable little creature. The cast had good chemistry, and the series did a great job creating a warm, magical atmosphere that made the world feel alive and inviting.

The animation and art style were beautiful throughout the season. 🎨 Every frame looked like it came straight out of a storybook, and the attention to detail made the magical setting even more immersive. It is clear that a lot of care went into bringing this world to life, which made me appreciate the adaptation even more.

Unfortunately, my biggest disappointment was how short the season felt. 😭 Just when the story seemed ready to dive into bigger conflicts, mysteries, and character development, it suddenly ended. Rather than feeling like a complete season, it felt more like an introduction to a much larger story. I was left with more questions than answers, and instead of satisfaction, I was mostly frustrated that it ended right when things were finally getting interesting.

Despite my frustrations, I would still recommend Witch Hat Atelier to fantasy fans who enjoy excellent world-building and unique magic systems. However, I would also tell them to keep their expectations in check regarding the payoff. The series has incredible potential and plenty of charm, but for me, it felt like the beginning of something great rather than a complete experience. If you're willing to continue the story beyond the anime, there's definitely a lot here to appreciate. 📚✨
